All things are defined by Principle and Truth--even living things like Society. Principle defines what never changes while Truth defines what will change relative to external situations. This is essentially Conservative and Liberal aspects in a society. They must be one by serving one purpose--not divided by serving different purposes.

  1. Is it possible for Conservatism and Liberalism to be unified in support of a common purpose? Certainly! That is the way it should be. All entities have aspects that should never change to maintain the entity's purpose as well as aspects that must change due to external factors for the same reason. This is Life; and so it is with Society. The problem occurs when at least one ideaology seeks a different purpose--self-serving, which is the state of today's Societies.

  2. The basic concepts of Liberalism has value in any society. Unfortunately, today's Liberals apply the concepts incorrectly. This results in great harm to any society with a good foundation.

  3. When we design and carefully build a house, it does need to be maintained--cleaning, painting, repairs from damage, additions for growing family, etc. The new house is the beginning and should not be changed--Conservative. Over time, though, maintenance and minor changes must occur to meet changing situations--Liberal. Both aspects are needed. Unfortunately, the Liberals of today want to rebuild the house into something that no longer serves the original basic purpose.
